The cruise at a leisurely relaxing pace, takes you through the quaint backwater villages on the banks of the numerous canals and rivers criss-crossing kuttanad. There are halts in between to give you a chance to stretch your legs on the shore, chat up the friendly village flock, take in a quick bottle of fresh sweet toddy from a local pub, sample a dish of hot 'red fish curry' with sweet tapioca or just climb a coconut tree.
